Fête de la Mer et de la Pirogue"} For two days, locals, visitors and families are invited to come together for a programme celebrating the maritime heritage and traditions of Île des Pins. Set in an exceptional natural environment, this festival is a wonderful opportunity to discover or rediscover the traditional skills and knowledge connected to the sea and traditional outrigger canoes, while enjoying a warm and festive atmosphere. The programme includes cultural activities, exhibitions, demonstrations, competitions, local food tastings and refreshments, as well as a variety of activities centred around traditional canoeing. Organised by the OFK association (Organisatrice des Fêtes de Kwenyii), in partnership with Betico NC, this major celebration of the sea returns for another weekend of sharing, culture and traditions in the heart of Kunié.
