In La Foa, Le Banu occupies a historic building erected in 1883 under the name « hôtel La Chaumière ». Room number nine remains famous for having held Admiral d'Argenlieu hostage for fifteen days in 1942. Today, you can sleep in one of the renovated bungalows, a room or a studio. The property houses one of the area's best-known restaurants, praised for its seafood and Gascon specialties; the bar displays more than five thousand caps on the ceiling, making for a memorable decor.
