A popular tourist destination and recreational site for the residents of Greater Nouméa, this park is somewhere to get away from it all and enjoy the exceptional native plant and bird species hidden away in the ochre earth of the south.
Created in 1980, this immense park extends over 22,000 hectares. You could spend days here travelling around the site and admiring the native vegetation of New Caledonia's Great South.

The forestry and mining operations that were set up here at the beginning of the last century left some clearly visible remains on the site, but you will be amazed at how quickly nature has reclaimed its rights...
