A strong commitment to an exceptional event
Last Friday, Sud Tourisme took part in the second partners’ breakfast for the New Caledonia Groupama Race 2025 , a special opportunity to connect and exchange around this legendary regatta. On this occasion, Jean-Gabriel Favreau, President of Sud Tourisme New Caledonia, officially signed the partnership agreement with the race organizers, reaffirming our support for this unmissable nautical event.
An outstanding race in the heart of the world’s most beautiful lagoon
The New Caledonia Groupama Race, set to start on June 9, 2025, is a one-of-a-kind competition that brings together monohulls and multihulls for a 654-nautical-mile (around 1,200 km) challenge around the main island. This true nautical marathon, weaving through reefs, atolls, and the UNESCO World Heritage-listed lagoon, attracts passionate sailors from around the globe, particularly from Australia and New Zealand. So far, 22 crews have already registered, promising an exciting edition!

Find Sud Tourisme at the official race village
A major highlight this year: the official New Caledonia Groupama Race village will be hosted at the Cercle Nautique Calédonien (CNC) sailing school a stunning setting between land and sea. From June 13 to 20, 2025, visitors and sailing enthusiasts will enjoy entertainment, meet-and-greets with skippers, and plenty of surprises. And of course, Sud Tourisme will be on-site to showcase the treasures of the Southern Province !
